Holiday Events for the Family with the Frisco Parks & Recreation Department

Looking for something to do this holiday season? Gather up the family and
have some holiday fun! It's not too late to register for Frisco's Frosty
5K race and Santa Skate; two fun holiday events offered by the City of
Frisco Parks & Recreation Department.
Frisco's Frosty 5K and Merry 1K will be held Saturday, December 8. The
Merry 1K race will begin at 8:00 a.m. at City Hall Plaza, with the 5K
following immediately after. Registration for this event is open online at
the Parks & Recreation website at http://www.FriscoFun.org until Thursday,
December 6. Registration is also available at the Frisco Athletic Center
during regular business hours. Early registration is $15 per person.
Race day registration is $20 per person by cash or check only.
All ages are welcome to participate. Individuals ages 15 and under must
be accompanied by an adult. Bring the whole family and join Frosty and
friends for a fun winter run!
Kids and families will also love a festive night of ice skating with Santa
and his friends! This event will be held at the Dr Pepper StarCenter
located at 2601 Avenue of the Stars, on Saturday, December 8. Two skate
times are available to choose from: 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. -
9:00 p.m.
Tickets are $9 per individual and $27 for a family (limit 5). This
includes a hot dog, chips, and a drink, and skate rental. Both skater and
non-skater tickets are available and a ticket is required to enter the
rink. Tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door. Stop by the
Frisco Athletic Center, located at 5828 Nancy Jane Lane, during regular
business hours to purchase tickets.
